Sara LaPuma Gregory

Office and Accounts Manager

I became affiliated with Trafton Academy in 1991 when my daughter joined the first grade class.  I have been employed with Trafton since 1998 first as school secretary, then as administrative assistant, and am currently serving as Office and Accounts Manager.

 

I am originally from Baton Rouge and attended Louisiana State University before moving to the Independence/Hammond area.  I am married to Ronnie Gregory and have three children, Melissa LaPuma Blazevich (Trafton Class of 1999), Travis Gregory (Trafton Class of 2006), and Justin Gregory (Trafton Class of 2007).  Melissa is a board certified veterinarian (LSU SVM Class of 2016) specializing in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery and is presently employed with Louisiana State University Veterinary School/Clinic and South Paws Veterinary Surgical Specialists in Mandeville.  Travis is employed with Marathon Petroleum Corp as a health environmental professional, and Justin is a senior insurance underwriter in Birmingham, Alabama.

 

I enjoy welcoming prospective students and parents who are interested in joining our Trafton family.  I am always available for school tours and any questions and/or assistance that I may provide with aiding you in your decision concerning your child's education.

Although I joined Trafton's office staff on a full-time basis in February 2021, I became a part of the Trafton family many years ago when I enrolled my daughters Destin (Trafton Class of 2011) and Gracee (Trafton Class of 2014) in Trafton. I was thrilled and very honored when offered the "front desk" position in the office!

In the past, I have enjoyed other positions such as first grade para and sixth grade para.  I have also enjoyed coaching Trafton's cheerleading organization.  Working with the students and parents of Trafton has allowed me to personally get to know many of the families.
